Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was raised in a multicultural family. The father of Jacqueline, Elroy Fernandez is a Sri Lankan. Jacqueline is the youngest of two sisters and an older brother. The family have moved to Bahrain during the 1980s because of the Lankan civil unrest and hence she was raised in Bahrain. After completing high school in Bahrain she was awarded an Scholarship at University of Sydney to pursue the Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. A lover of cultures and languages, she enrolled in Berlitz Language School, where she studied Spanish and honed her French as well as Arabic. In 2006 she was named Miss Sri Lanka. Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Universe 2006 in March 2006. She also participated at Miss Universe 2006. In 2006, she was awarded she won the Miss Sri Lanka title. Following that, she stepped into television to host the show about Sri Lankan companies called Lanka Business Report. Padukone's father was a badminton player Prakash Padukone. Padukone has been raised both in Copenhagen and Bangalore. When she was a teenager she played in national level badminton tournaments. She later resigned from playing and went on to become a fashion designer. Padukone comes from Mangalore and her mother language is Konkani. Padukone Village is situated in Kundapura Taluk within the Udupi District in Karnataka located in India. Prakash Padukone's father was an international badminton champion who has retired. Her mom is a traveling agent.
